perhaps there are many threads with the same problem. But nowhere a solution is posted.
I have a installation of the latest version of osTicket. Many customers are native german speakers. Therefore i struggle with german umlauts (ä, ö, ü, ß).
If a new ticket is created via website, the right letters show up on the staff-panel. Created a new ticket via mail and piped through pipe.php shows questionmarks instead of umlauts. I think, there is some converting missing in pipe.php (ISO-8859-1 or other to UTF-8).
Changing the charset in the MySQL-tables will fix this only for piped mails with ISO-8859-1, but breaks posted tickets and mails with UTF-8.
Will someone fix the pipe.php? Or is grepping mail via POP3 the better solution?
