Hi,
I'm also having trouble with the MySQL step of installation.
My server has cpanel.
I have created a MySQL database in cpanel and a username and password. Hostname is 'localhost' as in the default settings.
Not sure whether I need to change the default table prefix of ost_?
When I created the database I called it 'osticket' but cpanel seems to have created the database as 'mycpanelusername_osticket'. So do I enter 'mycpanelusername_osticket' or '_osticket' or just 'osticket' for MySQL database?
Same question for the username which I also called 'osticket' and cpanel also added 'mycpanelusername_' in front.
It seems whichever combination I enter I get the message 'Database doesn't exist' next to the database box and 'Unable to create the database due to permission' at top of MySQL section.
I've checked in my cpanel and the database has definately been created and if I use a database name that I haven't created yet that doesn't work either.
Can anyone help?
