I have just successfully installed version 1.6. The email address support@mydomain.com has been configured and tested. I have enabled Email Piping via the control panel. However, when testing the functionality by sending an email to support@mydomain.com, a ticket is not generated nor is an auto-response sent.
I do not understand what needs to be changed or configured in the pipe.php file or if this is the only configuration that needs to be changed. The osTicket Wiki states:
Setting up aliases for sendmail
Modify your aliases file by adding support: root, |/path/to/api/pipe.php and run newaliases.
Our host uses sendmail. Can anyone help please?
