osTicket GUI does not work for setting Attachment directory
I know I had the right path to the attachments folder. I even contacted my hosting co. (HostForWeb) and they verified the path was correct. However, the Settings|Attachments|Attachments Folder: would not accept the path.
After being completely frustrated, I decided to force it into the database.
In my Web Host's Cpanel, I went into phpMyAdmin and clicked on my osTicket database. Then I clicked on the ost_config table and clicked on the Browse tab. Then I clicked on the Edit (Pencil) icon, scrolled down to upload_dir and entered my path to the attachments folder. My path was:
/home/website/public_html/osticket/attachments
(/website/ - being my 8 character URI folder name)
I then went into osTicket and created a test email with attachment, and it worked.
Hope this saves somebody some headaches.
