Any help appreciated on this one.
I'd like to use OSTicket (very impressed so far!) for supporting projects for clients. Clients can have 20 or more tickets open at any one time. They tend to want to see a list of all their tickets, rather than just one ticket at a time.
I've got 80% of the way there by:
1) creating a "Department" for a client company e.g. "Acme Service Co."
2) adding a new user group "Client Project Manager" and limiting their permissions
3) adding a new "staff" member for that client, with and SCP login, assigned to the relevant department and user group
The result is that if that client logs in, they can see a list of all jobs pertaining to their project. However, in edit and submit ticket views, they are still able to assign tickets to a member of staff, and select a department for the ticket.
Really I feel that in "User Groups", you should be able to restrict groups from assigning tickets or changing departments...
Am I missing something? Has anyone else attempted to set up OS Ticket for a similar scenario?
