Hello everyone,
Thought I'd share something I thought up while playing around with the open.inc.php file.
First, I created a new directory named "mods" in the osticket dir.
Second, a new file named tooltips.php
Third, a bunch a variables corresponding to each input area in open.inc.php, were put into the tooltips.php file.
<?php
$firstnametooltip = 'Your First Name';
$lastnametooltip = 'Your Last Name';
$emailtooltip = '';
...
?>
Fourth, I included the mods in the open.inc.php file with this line near the top :
include('./mods/tooltips.php');
Fifth, I added this to the html attributes of each input item (with different variables for each):
title="
<?php echo $firstnametooltip;?> "
so that this:
<tr>
<th width="20%">First Name:</th>
<td>
<?if ($thisclient && ($name=$thisclient->getName())) {
?>
<input type="hidden" name="name" value="<?=$name?>"><?=$name?>
<?}else {?>
<input type="text" name="name" size="25" value="<?=$info?>">
<?}?>
<font class="error">* <?=$errors?></font>
</td>
</tr>
Becomes:
<tr>
<th width="20%">First Name:</th>
<td>
<?if ($thisclient && ($name=$thisclient->getName())) {
?>
<input type="hidden" name="name" value="<?=$name?>"><?=$name?>
<?}else {?>
<input type="text" name="name" size="25" title="
<?php echo $firstnametooltip;?> " value="<?=$info?>">
<?}?>
<font class="error">* <?=$errors?></font>
</td>
</tr>
Be sure to put the new attrib tag after the "else" statement where applicable. No warranties :)
