I am currently looking for a good ticket tracking system where I can customize fields and some of my fellow employees can access it. osTicket looks like it may be what I am looking for.
All I need are about 10 custom fields, category, subcategory, date opened, date closed, etc. And I also need to be able to report on this data. I have read other threads and saw a few scripts that would allow me to export the data to excel and report on it through there. Which is fine by me.
My tickets will all be entered by me personally and reported on by me. I will be using LivePerson as my chat interface, and do not want users to be filling out forms online or anything. I just need a system which is accessible throughout my company's network and is customizable.
osTicket seems right. Just thought I'd post and ask if anyone had any tips on getting this started (maybe places to find scripts or templates). I am brand new to SQL. Luckily, I have made good friends with the company techies and they can program SQL easily.
