I know this is necroing an old thread which I don't like doing, but I was searching for a solution and eventually figured it out so here it is and I hope it's useful to someone searching for the answer:We use TeamViewer in our support environment here and I set up integration in the main page rather than the footer. Here is the code, which I inserted into ./index.php file as follows (note where the teamviewer comment code begins, which is right after the part where the blue check ticket status button is integrated)

<a href="<?php if(is_object($thisclient)){ echo 'tickets.php';} else {echo 'view.php';}?>" class="blue button"><?php echo __('Check Ticket Status');?>

<?php echo __('Start a Remote Support Session');?>

<?php echo __('Please only use the remote support link if instructed to do so by a technician.');?>
