I am trying to setup osTicket to use POP against a mailbox on my Exchange server 2010.
I have select POP not IMAP in the Email page, but I get the following error:
"IMAP doesn't exist. PHP must be compiled with IMAP enabled."
In another thread, osticket developer Peter states twice that this is a case of "bad library naming"
While that may seem obvious to Peter, I have no idea what he is talking about and the documentation to get email working is virtually non-existant.
If nobody can take the time to write some decent documentation and the developer, who is responding to the large number of posts in this forum virtually begging for help to get email working, will only write a terse
"It is a case of bad library naming - IMAP extension is used for both IMAP and POP."
then how do the folks at osTicket expect anyone to use this product?!
PLEASE provide more verbose documentation with instructions and requirements for setting up a simple POP config against an Exchange server.
I'm pretty surprised how lacking the documentation is and how few responses there are to the multitude of people having problems getting the mail function to work.
Come on! Step up!
