I installed OST 1.7.2 onto our web server with minimal difficulty (I have another post somewhere about a mySQL issue we had that I was able to resolve). But when I try to set up the e-mail settings to allow tickets to be e-mailed I get the familiar "IMAP doesn't exist. PHP must be compiled with IMAP enabled." message which as I understand means we need the IMAP module/extension enabled on our web server.
I sent a support request to our hosting service this morning requesting they enable the IMAP module on our webserver because apparently I do not have sudo rights to the server to do it myself (spent a good deal of time trying unsuccessfully yesterday). They responded by asking me if the "web server pass messages to mail server for ticketing system?" And then proceeded to tell me the names of the web server and mail servers. I'm assuming they are asking this because IMAP is enabled on the mail server and they want me to run the messages through the mail server and not the web server. Is there a way to do this in OS Ticket?
