search ticket based on the extra field defined in the custom form

Dear All, 
Is there any way we could search ticket based on the value of the extra field defined in the custom form? how to configure or mod? Any hint will be very appreciated.

    Wrong version... Not 1.7 but 1.8
  • The internal comment at Admin panel -> Manage -> Forms -> Ticket Details says "This form will be attached to every ticket, regardless of its source. You can add any fields to this form and they will be available to all tickets, and will be searchable with advanced search and filterable."

    I have added fields there and can search on them in my installation (1.8.0.1).
  • Yeah, i know but i want my variable in help topic (costom form) too, for the dynamic answer in acces client.

    When i try ticket details (not interna), i dont have dynamic list. ALL varaible is showed

    anyone have a solutions!

    It would be easier to just add  a new field called Site.
    Departments are a staff side thing for determining access to tickets, and grouping tickets.

    Admin panel -> Manage -> Forms -> Ticket Details

    or if you want to make it a drop down list then

    Admin panel -> Manage -> Lists
    add the list.
    Then go to Admin panel -> Manage -> Forms -> Ticket Details
    and add the list with the label of Site.

    ---- like this but in dynamic list with the help topic custom form!
