A Company Name field, or labeling like Google Gmail, is a must. This shouldn't even have to be discussed here, we all can relate to names better than we do to a numbering system -- why do you think that we call it teknician.com instead of xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
It makes sense to organize the tickets. Clients lose their ticket numbers often, but you can always go back and check the company's name and all the tickets they've had making easy for you to follow up on progressive work.

p.s. Sorry if I come across a bit too strong, but I just registered, and that Captcha system implemented on this forums sucks. I've never seen a captcha image so hard to read. The only purpose for captcha is to prevent spamming and has nothing to do with its legibility. Make it clear and easy to read!!!
