osTicket v1.10 (stable) and Maintenance Release v1.9.15 are now available! Go get it now

osTicket-v1.8.1.1 UPGRADING.txt file

The osTicket-v1.8.1.1 UPGRADING.txt file starts "Welcome to osTicket 1.7" --- Ooops!

  • There is no such thing as v1.8.1.1.
But you are correct that the 1.8.x tree all say that in that file.
  • Um @ntozier that is very strange because my installatron system just alerted me today that it updated osticket to v1.8.1.1

System Settings and Preferences - osTicket (v1.8.1.1)

I looked all over the site to find any reference to but only here was it mentioned unless i'm blind.

Also side note, it would be a good idea to update the blog as the latest release mentioned is 1.8.0 in Jan 20th 2014

Ok just to clarify the blog issue, they are updating because I found this:

it doesn't show up anything in relation to a later blog post. So I'm guessing that someone needs to unsticky the various blog posts.

Anyway I apologise this wasn't meant to distract people from the initial post.
  • Your osTicket installation could not have informed you that it updated today... because osTicket does not have any automated update capability at this time.
clearly states that they have released 1.8.1.  Which is the current version, and was posted on Feb 19th (the day that 1.8.1 launched).

Lastly I point you to github. To both of these:
Please note the lack of a release and tag. (The tag usually gets added just before a new release).

  • G'day ntozier,

Just to clarify I'm not picking a fight, I'm just saying exactly what happened.

In my comment above I mentioned that I got a message from my INSTALLATRON system, I have cPanel hosting and as part of that Installatron is what allows me to install osTicket.

THAT system told me an update was available.

So if osTicket didn't get an update, Installatron must be doing something odd, because like my post above mentions and shows in osTicket it clearly shows

Anyway this is the feedback forum and I'm providing feedback.

  • has since been released. :)
