I don't know if these are related, but after much gnashing of teeth and pulling of hair, I managed to rewrite class.mailfetch.php to use Zend\Mail instead of the native imap c-client functions. The script is no longer throwing any errors and is taking email messages and turning them into tickets. However, osTicket is sending duplicate (i.e., two messages) blank messages for each notification. So when a new ticket was created, it sent two messages to the customer with the same subject line, but no body content. Then when I reassigned the ticket, again it sent two blank messages to the customer email address.
