I am working on a system that integrated with the OS ticket and I need to login form my system into the OS ticket system.so I am asking about the technique that OS ticket follows to hash the password
osTicket passwords are stored in MD5.ieupdate ost_staff set passwd = md5('yournewpassword') where staff_id='1';
I don't think that.for example if the password mennasamy MD5 result is => d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427ebut this isn't the stored password in the table the stored password is => $2a$08$yqueDCd.q8M85C.P/taxiOxWyq/g0LpL/S3.XN7m18HIhub1rQNuCso I don't think it is just MD5
I would recommend stealing code from `include/class.staff.php`, in Staff:, and `include/class.passwd.php`, in Passwd:. The library used for hashing is the portable PHP password hashing framework, by OpenWall, http://www.openwall.com/phpass
@[deleted]Thanks a lot :)I will give this way a try
So apparently it changed and I didn't notice. Now I'm glad that I asked Jared to take a look at this thread. I'm going to close this thread, but please feel free to start a new one if you have another question.
