Exchange issues

I can not retrieve emails to create tickets, I can however send emails through osTicket. Our exchange server is not set up with IMAP or POP. What are my options to get email up and running.

  • You would have to install/enable IMAP or POP on your Exchange server.
    Or you would have to forward email from Exchange for one user to a server that does POP/IMAP or Piping. (note: I'm not sure that this would be as seamless as you would want it to be)
  • now if i set up another mail server wouldn't that interfere with my exchange server? also exchange and osTicket are on different servers.

  • If done right, I don't see why it would interfere with your existing mail server.
    It would probably be much much easier to just enable pop/imap in exchange though.
