On my end, I'm using "Softaculous" in a cpanel account, it's very easy to upgrade via Softaculous.Additionally, here's the osTicket Upgrade and migration HowTo.I hope this helps. If you need more help, let us know about your specific environment.
1. Make a backup/copy of your osTicket directory and mysql database2. Set Helpdesk to "offline" in Admin Panel -> System -> Helpdesk Status3. Download osTicket 1.9.3 from www.osticket.com/download4. Extract the downloaded file locally and copy the content from the "upload" folder to your osTicket directory (replacing all existing files) and make sure that the file rights / permissons are correct afterwards5. Go to the Admin Panel, re-enable the Helpdesk (Admin Panel -> System -> Helpdesk Status -> Online)6. Do some basic tests! Create new ticket, reply to the test ticket etc.
