I am using osticket 1.9.3 as mentioned in the tags.I wasn't asked for an username just an email address. After entering the email address, the "user" was created automatically.I retried this procedure to make ensure I did not overview an field named "name", nevertheless I was very sure.I found the "bug": Entering an email address like "super@example.com" does work, but "super.me@example.com" does not work because of the point in the local part of the mail address. I believe this is a bug and I am very confused, that I am the first who found this bug. I believe, mail addresses with dots in local parts are very common.I addition: it's not possible to edit or extend any user data of a new created user like first name, last name, company etc while creating the ticket. So I have to create first the user and after this the ticket. I may wonder, if this workflow could improved.Bonus edit: I "registered" the user to check if I am able now to set first and last name. I can't. So if I have a john@example.com and john@example.org both are listed as John? How can I create fields like first name and last name to display the users in the lists?
