arrows in response to ticket


I believe we encountered a problem with arrows in responses to tickets in our osTicket installation. I.e., when the reply text contains arrows like this "<<" the mail to the customer containing ${response} will not show any of the text after the arrows. However, the online view does show the full text, indicating that this may be a bug?

Anyone seen this and/or know how to solve it?


  • OK, we solved it here by effectively disabling html stripping for the message body except for a few dedicated tags.
  • You may want to post how you did that here in case someone else has the same problem.
