Anyone know if it is possible to customize our osticket install so that when tickets are created from emails sent to our help desk email address, the system uses an email address specified in the body of the email message as the tickets associated address rather than the address of the sender of the email?
For example....
Email sent from user@contoso.com to helpdesk@mydomain.com containing decription of problem and also a users email address in the message body.
osticket creates a new ticket using the email address contained in the message body as the tickets email address rather than user@contoso.com which is the default behaviour.
The reason for this is we have an outsorced call centre who take our support calls and email all messages to us. So, all emails come from the call centres address containing contact info for the customer and a description of their problem.
