Hey Zoop,
I believe my site works like you want, and I just installed it yesterday.
Set up mail piping - available with CPanel. What that does is make an
incoming email get sent to a program (pipe.php provided by osticket).
That program then enters a ticket. My system sends a ticket number
out immediately - you might want to shut that off.
Then, when I answer the ticket, there is just one email address it uses
for all replies. My reply email = inbox with piping = support@xyz.com.
I think this is what you want, and it works great.
