Hello,In my the previous version ( 1.8.2.1) clients were able to view all their open/closed ticket. Now in the 1.9.8.1, they can only request a link to view one open ticket at the time.Thank you
They can view all their open and closed tickets. But it requires for them to register for an account, and log into said account.
Done !Thank you Ntozier
Very welcome. :)
Hello Ntozier,Is it possible to update clients`s email on existing ticket? i have lots of clients who created tickets with wrong email therefore, cannot get any update on the ticket as the registered email is wrong.
Go to: Agent Panel -> Users click on the userclick on the users namealter the email field.click update user
I tried that but did not work ( email address already in use).some clients has login tickets with good email but also with wrong emails. osticket is viewing them as different users.
You would want to reassign the ticket to the good address, and remove the bad ones. It can be time consuming. I find it eaiser to manually edit the database personally.
yes editing the database seems more appropriate but how should i proceed ?
Ok i was able to delete creator's wrong email from the ticket. now these ticket have creator name with blank email.how do i update that ticket creator's email with the right email from an existing client account without receiving "duplicate email" error message ?
So I posted about this about a month ago but I cannot seem to find the thread.FIRST CREATE A BACKUP OF YOUR DATABASE.So what I would do is create a list of users that have multiple accounts. Look and use the users tab to determine which one has the most tickets. Then get their user_id. You can do that by mousing over and getting the id= from the links url.example if you have:John Doe id 81 with 50 ticketsJon Doe is 407 with 3 ticketsThen you can run a query or manually change the ost_ticket table to change all the user_id 407 to 81.You would then want to look at user_id 81 and 407 in ost_user to get the default_email_id for those users and run a query against ost_ticket to update the user_email_id to the correct one. After that you run a query or manually change the ost_ticket_thread to change user_id 407 to 81.If its not many tickets you may be better just changing the owner of the tickets in the ui by editing the ticket though. That's all I can think of off the top of my head.
it is working thanks again Ntozier
You're very welcome. :)I'll close this thread up, but if you have another question please feel free to start a new thread.Have a great weekend!
