Opening ticket take too long after support email configuration


After I configured email SMTP, Tickets creation takes 9 to 13 seconds but when the pages updates its gives :ticket created 9 seconds ago". Means the page loading is taking long.

Is there any way to reduce the time

OSticket Version : 1.10 rc2


  • Maybe you deactivate the email verification to see if it has an impact on this issue:
    ->Admin Panel->Settings->E-Mail->uncheck "Verify email address domain"

    This function is used to validate email addresses. If the change has a positive effect, slow or not working dns requests are responsible for this behavior..

  • How are you opening the ticket? 
    Client side?  Agent side?
    How do you have email configured?(SMTP, PHPmail)

  • Client and agent both by my concern is client side as we are using the system internally as IT help desk.
    Email configured SMTP (Office 365)
    • Mail Fetching/Receiving: IMAP but disabled
    • PHP version: 5.6.20
    • Operating System: Windows Server 2012 R2
  • If you did this:
    ->Admin Panel->Settings->E-Mail->uncheck "Verify email address domain"

    Then I believe that the slow down that you are experiencing is most likely because you are using a remote mail server. (MS 365). To test this theory you could setup a local mail server such as an MTA on the webhost and see if that speeds up the process.
