So I've just gotten ost set up and I'm having some issues with cron.php. I can spell php but beyond that I'm a complete novice. :) What exactly is the syntax for getting it configured? If someone could post a complete cron.php that I could reference I'd really appreciate it. Particulars are below:osTicket: v1.9.14Web Server: IIS/8.5MySQL: 10.1.14PHP: 5.3.28PHP folder: c:\Program Files (x86)\PHP\v5.3\osT folder: c:\inetpub\wwwroot\support\Thanks in advance.
That's in the wiki. http://osticket.com/wiki/POP3/IMAP_Setting_GuideIt's also been posted about quite a few times over the years so search is your friend. Here are the first three hits:http://forum.osticket.com/d/discussion//setting-up-scheduled-task-to-check-for-new-mailhttp://forum.osticket.com/d/discussion//using-windows-task-scheduler-to-run-cronhttp://forum.osticket.com/d/discussion//email-ticketing-polling
I've looked through the guide and I don't have any questions about the task scheduler piece. I've actually searched and read through a couple hundred posts but I haven't found one that explains what I'm looking for. I don't know how to add the line to the cron.php file to make it work. I'm quite certain that it's so simple as to seem like a stupid question but I really know nothing about php. I couldn't find any windows based examples of the cron.php file. All of them I found were for Linux.I appreciate the quick response and really don't mean to sound like a moron but here we are. :)
Re: " I don't know how to add the line to the cron.php file to make it work."There is no line that you would add to cron.php to make it work. There is only one cron.php, it is used for local cron/windows task scheduler calls for all OSes.
Feel free to close this out and put a dunce hat on my icon. I don't know if the instructions weren't clear enough or I'm just an idiot; I'm leaning towards the latter. It's makes much more sense now.
:)I'll close this thread and mark it resolved..If you have another question please don't hesitate to ask it. I mean its why we are here to help!
