Hi ntozier
Thanks for you interesting to my request :)
The problem is because the server is not on the same LAN than client machines.
I explain :
- Client machines are on a network, with firewalls and then xDSL modem to go on the Internet.
- The server machine is behing another modem-router (Orange LiveBox), totally isolated from the client network. So I NATted the port 80 in the livebox, to reach the server machine from the Internet via a domain name redirected to the public IP of the Livebox..
The IP that osticket sees and records when a client creating a ticket, is the public IP of the Internet connection, not the IP of the machine, so I think any nslookup could resolve this ?
I don't know how getting IP on creating ticket work, but to schematize, I would have something like :
GetMachineName=>FillIPAddressFieldInTheDB
instead of
GetPublicIP=>FillIPAddressFieldInTheDB
I think you see what I mean ?
Thanks
