osTicket v1.10 (stable) and Maintenance Release v1.9.15 are now available! Go get it now

Can only sign in directly on the server

I have a fresh install of 1.10 on Windows Server 2008. When I am directly on the server, everything works perfectly, however when I go to osTicket from another computer, I am unable to sign in. The homepage will load, but when I click sign in I get this message "The custom error module does not recognize this error." The same message appears when trying to log as a user and as an agent.

I have a 1.9.14 installation on the same server that works perfectly. When updating 1.9.14 I have the same issue, so I tried starting fresh.

  • Please consult your IIS error logs and see what the actual error is that's being logged.
you may also want to consult your PHP error log and see if anything is being logged there.
  • Here's the error for the IIS logs, looks like error 422:

    2016-11-16 16:32:42 10.2.1.33 GET /login.php - 5051 - 10.2.8.254 Mozilla/5.0+(Windows+NT+10.0;+WOW64)+AppleWebKit/537.36+(KHTML,+like+Gecko)+Chrome/54.0.2840.87+Safari/537.36 422 0 0 296

Here's the only error in the PHP logs:

[16-Nov-2016 11:31:05 America/New_York] PHP Warning:  PHP Startup: Invalid library (appears to be a Zend Extension, try loading using zend_extension=php_opcache.dll from php.ini) in Unknown on line 0
[16-Nov-2016 11:31:05 America/New_York] PHP Warning:  PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'C:\PHP\php-5.6.18-nts-Win32-VC11-x86\ext\php_sybase_ct.dll' - The specified module could not be found.

I appreciate any help you can give!
  • I've asked the devs to take a look at this thread.

That being said you may want to resolve those PHP errors first.
  • I got it working! I still don't know why it was happening, but I ended up removing "Http::response(422);" from the login.php and scp/login.php files and I was able to get in. Everything seems to be running smoothly now. Thanks for your help!
