I've got my helpdesk up and running and I've imported a group of users from a test group I set up. I'm wanting to use LDAP authentication which appears to be working fine. What I'm having an issue with is registering the users I've imported. I have to actually go into the user record and click the Register button to be able to select the default authentication method. Is there a way to do this automatically or at least select all of the users from the directory and use the Register option in the drop-down menu? Currently that just sets it to Locked(Pending Activation) and then the user has to go into the system and set a password. Defeats the purpose of using LDAP in the first place. I'm just wondering if I have something mis-configured or I'm just doing something wrong.
The second issue I have is adding an agent. I want to add my AD account as one of the agents as I'd prefer to only use the admin account I created to manage the server/ticketing system rather than handling tickets. I will also need to add other agents as I add new locations into the system. I've tried adding my account into the Agent directory both with a user account registered in the system and no account. I get an error saying "Correct the errors below." but there are no errors identified in the agent creation panel. Any assistance you can provide would be appreciated.
