Can anyone please tell me if it is possible to take a database from a 1.10.1 install and import it into a fresh 1.9.16 install? We are moving to a new server in the near future and would like to go back to 1.9.16 but don't want to lose out data from our current 1.10.1 build.Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
No, you cannot go backwards. You can only go forward. If you want your database to be 1.9 you have to restore it from a back up that was 1.9.
I think it is possible. But I haven't seen yet that there is a documentation or user report how you can achieve this. But I would recommend not to do this. I have heard that when osTicket 1.11 will be released the support for osTicket 1.9.x will stop.
It is possible. But there is no mechanism made by osTicket to do so, so you would have to look at all of the mysql queries done during the upgrade process and reverse engineer them. If anyone has done it they have never posted here about it.
Ok thank you for the information
