How to translate

Hi,
As default language for agents, I use the greek language pack from http://osticket.com/download but some words or phrases are not translated, so... how do i translate them? I have visited page http://i18n.osticket.com/project/osticket-official/el# and suggested 370 translations. Then, i downloaded files and put them in /osticket/include/i18n/el_GR but doesn't change anything.
In the forum i can't find a step by step turorial on how to add a language pack with your own translation. Also in http://osticket.com/download, the greek language pack is from 2016 witch means that all suggestion till today are not included in the pack?

Regards
George

    Ok i found this https://github.com/osTicket/osTicket/issues/3451

    1. Basically i extracted el.phar (phar extract -f el.phar)to a folder with name el (el for greek, as i see it in /include/i18n/langs.php)
    2. Remove el.phar from /include/i18n because i have the folder now and i don;t need phar file anymore.
    3. From http://i18n.osticket.com/project/osticket-official/el# I downloaded the file messages.pot with latest suggestions (3 dots next to file to download.)
    4. I used the poedit to make messages.pot to messages.mo
    5. In the /include folder of osticket run, php class.translation.php messages.mo > messages.mo.php
    where I uploaded the messages.mo-file before. To avoid the error with the include.dir change class.translation.php (line 857 from require_once INCLUDE_DIR . 'class.orm.php'; to require_once 'class.orm.php';)
    6. Restart apache (debian 9) : sudo service apache2 restart
  • Great sounds like your all set then.
