[resolved] Print to PDF Suddenly Broken

Hello all,

After a sever upgrade/transfer our print to PDF feature suddenly broke. See attached image, the PDFs instead of text have boxes. To try to fix the problem, I did a fresh install of 1.10.1, no dice.

Anyone ever see this before? Any ideas on how to fix?

Thanks,

    Original server environment details?

  • Hi ntozier,

The original server environment details are:

    cPanel Version: 62.0 (build 39)
    Apache Version: 2.2.34
    PHP Version: 5.4.45
    MySQL Version: 5 .5.51-38.2
    Architecture: x86_64
    Operating System: linux

The new server environment details are:

    cPanel Version: 68.0 (build 27)
    Apache Version: 2.4.29
    PHP Version: 5.6.33
    MySQL Version: 5.6.38
    Architecture: x86_64
    Operating System: linux

    Recent Error Logs:

Mail Fetch Failure Alert    (IMAP Authentication failed after 6 consecutive errors)
DB Error #1062   (duplicate entry for key file-type)
IOException: Unable to read resource content    (unable to read attachments from file)
Mailer Error    (unable to email via SMTP response code -1)

The install information within the admin panel contains the attached information.  If I missed something or can provide additional information, please let me know.  I have a feeling the SQL database got messed up somehow...

As always I appreciate the help,

Are you seeing anything in your PHP error log?

Can you try enabling the following extensions?
    mbstring
    intl
    fileinfo

I dont think that will help... but I feel like this is a language thing.

    edit:
ps. moved to proper section of the forums like you request. :)

Where do I enable those? Checked the host's support page and read they should be installed by default.

    Recent Unsolved Error Logs:

DB Error #1062   (duplicate entry for key file-type)
IOException: Unable to read resource content    (unable to read attachments from file)

    Recent Solved Error Logs:

Mail Fetch Failure Alert    (IMAP Authentication failed after 6 consecutive errors)
Mailer Error    (unable to email via SMTP response code -1)
  • To close the loop on this, I installed the following PHP Extensions and the problem has been resolved:

    mbstring
    fileinfo

I think fileinfo was the culprit...
