Recently I installed the recent version of osticket (1.7ST) but I keep having the same issue (I already posted my problem in another thread but couldn't find any answer)
The problem is the same, when I try to configure smtp (for gmail or hotmail account) the system shows error. In the case of the google account, the system either blocks itself (browser shows error, same as when you can't load a page) and in the case of hotmail account it can't connect.
Besides, I tried to set this values directly to the database and when I create a ticket it doesn't send any email notifying the ticket number (however it creates the ticket in the system)
What can I do to solve this problem?
