Looking for a little advice/direction here. Over the weekend I attempted to upgrade our installation of osTicket from v1.10 osTicket Core, v.1.10.4. I downloaded the package, replaced everything but my ost-cofig.php file. Immediately after the upgrade, everything seemed fine. But upon arriving to work on Monday morning, chaos awaited me. No one was able to move within osTicket, I even had trouble logging into the console of the server. Once I was able to log into the server, I noticed MySQL was running 100% of the CPU. Stop/Restart MySQL, people can work for a few minutes, and then right back up to 100% and everything locked up. Thought maybe something was up with my MySQL install (at the time v5.1) so I tried upgrading it to 8.0.12, got myself into a 500 error situation there, decided to go back to the 5 series of MySQL, installed 5.7.22. Site would load up, but again in a few minutes the load became so high that nothing would move. Moved the database to another host (from Windows to Linux) with an earlier version of MySQL (5.0.95) SAME problem, load shot up to 100%. This time ran "show processlist", I was given a list of 100 threads, most of which were in a LOCKED state. Replaced the 1.10.4 code with my original 1.10, everything fired right up and has been working without the load issue. But now that my database version and code version are out of sync, I have some other issues.
So, does anyone have any pointers on what might be going on with my 1.10.4 installation and running the MySQL server through the roof? I'd love to get this upgraded.
Thank you.
