osTicket v1.10 (stable) and Maintenance Release v1.9.15 are now available! Go get it now

How to make osticket available internally

I use apache + easyphp to install it - current address is 127.0.0.1 (localhost) but I can't to change this so the users on my network can see the website internally (preferably through another link as well)

I have osticket installed on a server of it's own with an ip address etc just having trouble making it available to computers other than the server itself.

If anyone has any knowledge in this I'd be extremely grateful.

  • 127.0.0.1 is the loopback IP in all machines for referencing itself.

    The computer should have IP assigned in the network. This is the IP needed to access from clients. Also, you will need to configure Apache\conf\httpd.conf file in order to set the IP and the default path to the osTicket website. But this is not an osTicket issue. For further info please refer to http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/configuring.html
  • It does have a IP on the network and accessing it that way doesn't work either.

    I have done this before with other software and it has work so I think it is an osticket issue.
  • Did you modified the \include\ost-config.php file as well?

    #Mysql Login info
    define('DBTYPE','mysql');
    define('DBHOST','localhost');
    define('DBNAME','yourDBname');
    define('DBUSER','yourDBuser');
    define('DBPASS','yourDBpassword');

    Yeah that stuff was done ages ago, even changed the url to the IP of the server in case that was the issue

    Thanks for your reply!
