Maintenance Mode

Hello,

Is there a way to programmatically put osTicket into maintenance mode? If I want to perform a backup, I would prefer the system to be in maintenance/offline mode before taking a copy of the database. Ideally, I would like to be able to do this via the CLI.

For example, ownCloud allows you to put the application in maintenance mode using the following:

sudo -u www-data php occ maintenance:mode --on
sudo -u www-data php occ maintenance:mode --off

Taken from: https://doc.owncloud.org/server/9.0/admin_manual/configuration_server/occ_command.html?highlight=occ#maintenance-commands.

Is this possible?

Thanks.

  • This is not a feature in osTicket at this time. But it wouldn't be very hard to achieve.

    Maintence mode is a single field in the config table.  So you would just need to change the isonline from 1 to 0.

    So the following SQL query would do it:
    UPDATE ost_config SET `value`='0' WHERE `key` = 'isonline';
