osTicket v1.10 (stable) and Maintenance Release v1.9.15 are now available! Go get it now

table ost__search is missing

Our installation of OSTicket 1.10 seems to be working just great, except when we try to search for tickets. Then a DB Error #1146 is generated, and the following output gets sent to the administrator (me):

Table '<dbname>_osticket.ost__search' doesn't exist<br />
<br />
---- Backtrace ----<br />
#0 (root)/include/mysqli.php(204): osTicket->logDBError('DB Error #1146', '[SELECT COUNT(*...')<br />
#1 (root)/include/class.orm.php(3133): db_query('SELECT COUNT(*)...', true, true)<br />
#2 (root)/include/class.orm.php(3189): MySqlExecutor->execute()<br />
#3 (root)/include/class.orm.php(2644): MySqlExecutor->getRow()<br />
#4 (root)/include/class.orm.php(1193): MySqlCompiler->compileCount(Object(QuerySet))<br />
#5 [internal function]: QuerySet->count()<br />
#6 (root)/include/staff/tickets.inc.php(146): count(Object(QuerySet))<br />
#7 (root)/scp/tickets.php(492): require_once('(root)/i...')<br />
#8 {main}

Can anyone help out?

TIA,
Richard

  • I just ran a 'show create table ost__search' on mine, this is the output:

    CREATE TABLE `ost__search` (

     `object_type` varchar(8) NOT NULL,

     `object_id` int(11) unsigned NOT NULL,

     `title` text,

     `content` text,

     PRIMARY KEY (`object_type`,`object_id`),

     FULLTEXT KEY `search` (`title`,`content`)

    ) ENGINE=InnoDB DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8
  • Thanks for the reply Grizly.

    I attempted to create the table using that command in phpMyAdmin, and I got the following error:

     #1214 - The used table type doesn't support FULLTEXT indexes
  • Changed the command to:

    CREATE TABLE `ost__search` (

     `object_type` varchar(8) NOT NULL,

     `object_id` int(11) unsigned NOT NULL,

     `title` text,

     `content` text,

     PRIMARY KEY (`object_type`,`object_id`),

     FULLTEXT KEY `search` (`title`,`content`)

    ) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8

    Hopefully this works.
  • Hmm, that might explain the slow search performance on my box then..
