Emails fetching issue.

Hi Team,

I am frequently fetching the below error in the system logs.
Could you please let us know, what need to be done in order to avoid below issue.

"Excessive errors processing emails for
"My Email Address".in. Please manually check the inbox."

Thanks & Regards,

  • Please manually check the inbox.
    ^  Did you do this?

Some times bounce back message, or emails with malformed headers need to be nuked from the mailbox.
  • Ok Thank you. So, some of the mails will get rejected/tickets will not be created right ? if they are having malformed headers.

If so, Is there a way to accept all the incoming emails to the ticketing system, because we could see that some times, proper emails are not resulting in ticket creation.

Thank you for your help on this.
  • Q: So, some of the mails will get rejected/tickets will not be created right ?

A: That is my experience.  Some times a really bad email (I find bounce messages in my organization) some times hang up and throw errors.  Logging into the IMAP box and deleting the offending email always fixes it. [note this does not happen very often at all and I haven't really figured out the why yet.]
  • Than you ntozier.

Is there any way to figure out, the reason for the missing emails.
Means, is there anything to check in the missing mails, Ex : size of the mail, Attachment size etc .... if any limitation are there, please let me know so that i will keep an eye on the missing mails in detail.

    Thank you.
