osTicket v1.10 (stable) and Maintenance Release v1.9.15 are now available! Go get it now

heading on the date field for "open Tickets" view... should it be "last response"

the heading reads "date created" in this view however this is actually showing the date/time of the last response on the ticket.. should this read "last updated" or "last response" instead?

  • Please help us to help you by reading and following the posting guidelines located in this thread: Please read before requesting assistance.  The more information you give us the better we will be able to assist you. Thank you.

I don't know what version of osTicket you are running or anything else about your environment because you didn't include any of that information, however in my 1.10 installation, my date column shows Last Updated.

But that column changes depending on what your sort option is. If I select a sort of Ticket Number it switches to Date Created, If i sort by Priority + Due Date it switches to Due Date.

  • Ok, so this might be an issue then.  I didn't know much about the sorting so I played with it and now understand better what it's doing... however.... if you are sorting by ticket number, the heading (as you mentioned) shows "Date Created" but it is in fact showing the date of the most recent update to the ticket - not the create date of the ticket.

see attachments.. ticket 935402 was created at 10:19 am and last updated at 10:44 am, but when viewing by ticket number the heading shows date created but displays 10:44 for that ticket.
