[resolved] Ticket submission or replies are so slow

When submitting or even replying to a ticket it can take 20-30 seconds to go through.
I am using SMTP through sendgrid.
I've even upgraded MYSQL as per screenshot below but still the same issue.

And advice?

    I don't know if this could be a possible reason for this behavior but I'm recalling that someone has reported that the email verification can slow down some things. 

    Maybe you disable this setting to see if it has an impact on this issue: 
    1.9:
    ->Admin Panel->Settings->Email->uncheck "Verify email address domain" 
    1.10:
    ->Admin Panel->Emails>Settings>uncheck "Verify email address domain"

    Thanks that really shorten the lag down to at least 1-2 seconds.  Major thumbs up.

    You are welcome. The email verification does a dns check. 
    Maybe this check is not possible and it waits for a timeout.

    I have seen this user has made a modification of this code to optimize the behavior for some cases:

    You could try his code to see if this avoids the slow downs with enabled email verification.
