This is probably a noob question/problem. Everything seems to be setup and working fine. However, when a user submits a ticket, the e-mail contains an empty from field. Anyone know how to fix this? Here's a screenshot (http://thehivenetwork.com/images/e-mail_name_error.jpg) of the empty "from" field.
i am trying to configure email configurations but could not do it yet. First i got error IMAP does not exists compile php with IMAP. i resolved this issue. Email configurations saved successfully. When a user created new ticket. Its states that ticket created successfully and ticket # emailed to you. But there are no emails..
Please give screenshots of your email configurations. and give me few advices ...i am not an expert please guide me.
You can enter the from name in the Admin Panel under the tab Emails and then fill in "Email Name"

Thank you 4ice for the help. As it turned out, I thought I had admin access when I actually didn't. I must also be using an older version because I never found an Email tab, however, once I gained admin access it was very simple to setup. Thank you osTicket for such a great program, keep up the good work. :)

I have found this and set it, but it still does not have a reply to or from address.

Are you using version RC3? Or an older version?
Also, are the fields completely blank or is there something in it? Anything else you might think that is strange you can tell us?

This works for the standard emails that go out to the client, it does not work for emails from alerts@domain.com to the staff.
I have created an ugly but functional fix for fancy from names for alert emails (http://www.osticket.com/forums/showthread.php?t=396) to the staff.
