I have installed osticket and now I am trying to configure the settings.
I am trying to set up the pop3 account so that customers will be able to submit tickets via email. When I enter all of my pop3 info and press submit. It gives me an invalid login error.
I know that I am using the right email address and password etc. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks
Did you fill in the right host and username? Sometimes you don't have to put in a whole emailaddress for the username, only the part before the @.
Are you sure the server you are trying to connect to allows the request?

I am having a similar, if not the same, issue. When I set up my POP3 account info, i get the message "Invalid login [Can't login to this server]"
I've tried both with and without the @ symbol in the user name. I can login to this box with no problem using webmail and other methods, just not with osTicket (1.6 RC3)
If a ticket is created with the online form, an alert and notiification email are sent.

I have the same issue. Mail server is on godaddy, using fedora core 7. OS Ticket is hosted locally on fedora core 8 w/ imap installed. I can telnet into the mail server on port 110, no errors.
Also, I can connect with a regular mail client through unencrypted pop3 on the remote server.
please explain how osticket sends and receives emails
I was able to send emails without POP3 username and password settings....after installing it now to a test server emails sending gone once again...
