ok I have a website, i THINK I can support this product not 100% sure on that one, but the page loads up and all is dandy... However, I run into problems with,

MySQL Database:
MySQL Username:
MySQL Password:

What in the world do i put there? i dunno what the username and password would be. The site supports php however i don't know what it uses nor how to login. I am a complete noob at all this and would love it if you could give me a step by step on it all but i'll be happy just asking along the way and figuring it out as much as i can, the main reason i am doing this is to learn and i get something i can actually use out of it too. Well, thanks in advance to anyone willing to help... :)

You need to ask you hosting provider if you have a MySQL database with your website. If so, they can give you the host (usually localhost), username and password.

I am the hosting provider I own the web server. But I inherited the server. So i don't really know what it does and doesn't have.

Ok so i decided to re-install MySQL and PHP on the web server in order to be sure of the versions i have, i installed MySQL 5.051 and now i'm in the process of installing PHP 5.1.4 However it's asking me to select the Web Server i wish to setup. However, I dunno what to... do... no web server?

I think i did it right... however when i press install... it goes to a blank screen... =( any ideas?

Do you get the blank screen with installing PHP or with installing osTicket?

With installing osTicket. Which btw, i thought i was installing PHP 5.2.5 but when i look at the read me it says Version 3.0.1 ... Is that normal? the installer says version 5.2.5 .... So just wondering, as for the blank page i think i found another thread with help on that... but many solutions, i'll post here what worked for me. Also, Local host... what do i put and login and password? is that for the root?
