Just installed OSTicket onto a new server and so far everything is working fine. I have departments, staff, and help topics set up. I went to test my first experience as a "user" opening a ticket and am having issues. They go to mydomain/helpdesk, fill out all their information to open a new ticket, but when they click submit, it hangs there for about 2 minutes before returning an "Internal Server Error" message. Edited: I can't delete this message, but I found out what the issue was. Apparently my host doesn't support PhpMailto's so I had to set up an SMTP server to deliver the ticket alert messages. This fixed the problem. Last edited by craighwk; 04-12-2011 at 04:07 PM. |

I really hate seeing posts that don't actually have a reply (call it my pet peeve).
Thank you for posting what your solution was for everyone else who may encounter this type of problem. To reiterate: Quote:
Thanks! |
