Default Osticket not sending me alerts?

Osticket does not send me alerts to my e-mail. It does, but only when I log in and hit refresh. Then shortly after I receive e-mail alerts of my incoming messages. I am thinking I need to setup a cron job through my server to run like every 10 minutes or so? If so what file do I point it to?

hi tdd1984,

Check this page out: http://osticket.com/wiki/POP3/IMAP_Settings

It is behaving as normal with regards to auto cron and this page shows you how to setup a cron to work through windows task scheduler (or via Linux/Unix scheduling)
