All files and folders are chmod 755... normal?

Just installed osTicket via Fantastico and I think I love it! Is it normal that all folders and files (php, images etc.) has the 0755 permission? Is this safe enough? I use HostGator and they normally use 644 on files and 755 on folders...

755 is max permission allowed at my web host. That should be ok.

I've gotten OSTicket to work on hostgator with no issues. Should be fine.
