Unhappy Attachment from web problem with permission

Hi...

I can't find any thread about this problem, so i hope anyone can help me here.

I have a problem with attachment on the web site, if a client want to attach a file, and submit, they get a http 500 error site. attachment works fine from admin, and whit a email.

I find out that the problem is that when they attach a file, the file goes to the folder attachment, but the file have no "owner" or "shared with" in the properties, and this do that noone can open the file.

Anybody know a solutions for this problem??

Thank you for your help..

Best Regards Malene

If you go to Admin panel -> Settings -> Attachments
what do you have configured as your Attachment Folder?

This folder must be a system path not a web url. Also the directory needs to have pretty open permissions. How to change permissions of course depends on the OS your running, but I think 755 is sufficient on Linux. I'd set it to 777 and then slowly tighten them up, test, tighten, etc.

This is all set up properly, the file is going in the folder, but the user still get a http 500 error page.
